THE COURT CATTERY

COURT CATTERY was the result of on-going development of our Veterinary Surgery Practice facilities and the reflection of the growing percentage of feline patients at the Practice. The purpose-built boarding cattery was an exciting project drawn up and carried out from 1999 to 2000 for the wider benefit of cat-owners in the locality, and is now a firmly established cattery which has been awarded a F.A.B.(Feline Advisory Board) listing. The Cattery design was given an excellent comment by the judges of the regional 'Best Kept Villages' competition, and the cattery itself is constantly moving forward and new features and facilities have been added for everyone's benefit, including the cats! The heated, insulated chalets are built to Feline Advisory Board standards with covered outdoor runs, welfare features and colourful murals by a local artist, Miss Beryl Maile, to whom we are most grateful.

The chalets are single/pairs and family units (3's and 4's), with cat aerobic centres, scratch posts and toys always available. Cats with medical conditions are also welcome with prior warning, and with all medication and needles when applicable.

We would be delighted to arrange a guided tour of the Cattery, by using our web-site for contact, or by telephoning the Cattery Office or the Practice Reception.

We also offer grooming, dematting and 'hospitalisation' facilities down at our veterinary surgery, if the need arises and our isolation pens are unsuitable for that particular condition.

The minimum of Flu and enteritis vaccinations are always required, but special provision will have to be made for senior/long-term ill cats that cannot be vaccinated. We welcome cats vaccinated against Feline Leukaemia. The new Bordetella vaccine for cats is not a specific FAB requirement for boarding with us, but we reserve the need to request that this is given before or at admission if and whenever it would be of value.

Out of respect for our boarding guests and our Staff, please note that there are NO arrivals/departures on ANY Saturday afternoons, ANY Sundays nor ANY Bank or Public Holidays, and all visits are preferably by appointment.
